The age requirement for renting a car in Uganda is 21-75 years for self drive car rental. If you are renting a car with a driver, the minimum age requirement is 18yrs and there is no maximum age restriction. For persons below the age of 18, you will need your guardian to reserve a car for you as you are not legally allowed to rent one yourself.
To rent a car in Uganda for self drive, you will be required to present proof of identity which typically requires a passport or National Identification card. You will also have to present a valid international driving license before you are allowed to rent a car on self drive. For travelers renting a car with a driver, all you need to do is present proof of identity.
